Down To Earth™ Bio-Turf™ 8-3-5 is an entirely natural granular lawn fertilizer designed to encourage deep root development to help reduce watering requirements. DTE™ Bio-Turf’s™ nitrogen-rich formula boosts early season growth while its extra Potassium reduces seasonal stress due to temperature change and drought. DTE™ Bio-Turf™ is also ideal for heavy feeding garden vegetables like corn, tomatoes and leafy greens. GUARANTEED ANALYSIS: TOTAL NITROGEN (N) 8.0% 0.8% Water Soluble Nitrogen 7.2% Water Insoluble Nitrogen* AVAILABLE PHOSPHATE (P2O5) 3.0% SOLUBLE POTASH (K2O) 5.0% *7.2% Slow-Release Nitrogen from Hydrolyzed Feather Meal, Fish Meal, Bone Meal and Meat Meal Derived from: Hydrolyzed Feather Meal, Fish Meal, Blood Meal, Meat Meal, Bone Meal and Langbeinite Listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute for use in organic production. APPLICATION RATES: 2 ½ cups = 1 lb; 1/4 cup = 1.5 oz; 1 tbsp = 0.4 oz Lawns: In spring, decrease amount to 5-10 lbs per 1,000 square feet. Three to four applications per year are recommended and results may be enhanced if applied following aeration. For new lawns, apply 12 lbs per 1,000 square feet and mix into top 3" of soil before seeding or sodding. Covers up to 4,000 sq. ft. Row Crops/Acreage: Apply 625-2,500 lbs per acre depending on specific crop needs or required pounds of actual nitrogen per acre. Vegetable Gardens: To prepare new gardens, apply 3-6 lbs. per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into the top 3" of soil. For new transplants, add 1-2 tbsp. per hole, mix into soil and water in well. To feed established plants, side dress 1-2 oz., depending on size of plant and desired growth rate, once each month during the growing season.
