Down To Earth™ Tree & Shrub mix is enhanced with mycorrhizal fungi to encourage extensive root development and to protect against a variety of plant stresses. Transplant shock, drought and other environmental extremes can negatively impact a young plant’s growth potential, so use our specially designed mix to help ensure survival and promote rapid establishment. GUARANTEED ANALYSIS: TOTAL NITROGEN (N) 4.0% 0.6% Water Soluble Nitrogen 3.4% Water Insoluble Nitrogen AVAILABLE PHOSPHATE (P2O5) 2.0% SOLUBLE POTASH (K2O) 4.0% Derived from: Fish Bone Meal, Corn Gluten Meal, Langbeinite, Greensand, Volcanic Ash and Kelp Meal ALSO CONTAINS NON-PLANT FOOD INGREDIENT(S): 5% Humic Acids derived from Leonardite MYCORRHIZAL FUNGI INOCULANT Endomycorrhizal fungi: Glomus intraradices, Glomus mosseae, Glomus aggregatum and Glomus etunicatum – 8 propagules per gram each. Ectomycorrhizal fungi: Rhizopogon villosullus, Rhizopogon luteolus, Rhizopogon amylopogon and Rhizopogon fulvigleba – 3,400 propagules per gram each; Pisolithus tinctorius – 34,000 propagules per gram; Scleroderma cepa, Scleroderma citrinum – 2,300 propagules per gram each. APPLICATION RATES: DTE Tree & Shrub can be mixed into soil directly under cuttings, bare root trees, shrubs and vines or blended into potting mixes. The objective is to ensure physical contact between the roots and the inoculated fertilizer. Trees, Shrubs & Vines: For new plantings, apply 1-2 tbsp. per inch of stem caliper directly to plant roots or mixed into soil in prepared transplant hole. For mature plants, drill in holes 3-6 inches deep in a grid pattern; use 1-2 tbsp. per hole. Nursery Containers: For new plantings, mix 1/2 lb per cubic foot of potting soil or 5-10 lbs per cubic yard; use higher rate for smaller pots and trays. For established plants, apply 1-2 tbsp. per gallon of soil when transplanting.
