Pietra Serena is a durable, fine grained, uniform colored blue gray sandstone with reflective specs of mica. This classic stone has a long history and pedigree. Quarried by the Etruscans during the Archaic period, popularized during the Renaissance by Brunelleschi and Michelangelo, and more recently, specified by Steve Jobs for the flooring in Apple stores. Popular today because its uniform and soothing color works well with contemporary, and minimalistic designs.
