Vegetable Amendment Mix is especially made for topping off existing vegetable beds. If your soil level in your garden bed has dropped over the seasons, top it off with 1" of Vegetable Amendment Mix in the Fall and Spring.

Over a few growing seasons, you may notice that the soil level in your raised bed has decreased. This is a natural process where the microbial community in the soil breaks down organic matter, converting it into nutrients that plants can absorb. This indicates that your soil is healthy and actively supporting plant growth.

Instead of replenishing with the same soil mix, such as Lyngso Vegetable Blend or Essential Soil, we recommend using Vegetable Amendment Mix in the spring and fall. This mix contains Diestel Compost, ¼-Fir Bark, Ligna Peat, and Organic slow-release Nitrogen fertilizer. Apply approximately 1 inch of this mix twice a year to restore organic matter to your soil.

The Vegetable Amendment Mix is suitable for both raised planter beds and in-ground gardens.
